A school bus carrying students of Wesley Grammar School caught fire at the Kasoa Tollbooth on Friday, November 28, but thankfully, all passengers escaped unharmed.

The bus, which had 83 students and five teachers on board, was en route to Ngleshie Amanfro Senior High School for a sporting event when the incident occurred.

Speaking to Citi News, Sports Teacher Richard Boafo, who was accompanying the students, explained that smoke was first noticed coming from the bus. “We immediately asked all the students to evacuate. Fortunately, everyone got out safely. There were no injuries, but sadly, the bus was completely destroyed by the fire,” he said.

Authorities are yet to confirm the cause of the blaze.
